Appel aux artistes – la Boîte lumineuse

Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’une image ou œuvre 2-dimensionnel pour remplacer celle qui figure dans la boîte lumineuse près du stationnement, côté Ouest du jardin, en ligne avec la rue Aulneau.
L’image soumise doit respecter les dimensions (6x4pieds)
· L’image choisit sera posé dans la boîte lumineuse à la mi-octobre 2011 et demeurera pendant six mois.
• Un comité de sélection prendra la décision finale. Un cachet de $300 sera payé à l’artiste choisi.
• La MDA s’occupera des coûts d’impression et d’installation de l’image.
*À noter que les images soumises peuvent être à basse résolution, mais pour assurer une qualité d’impression suffisante la taille d’image originale ne devrait pas être plus petite que200ppi à 4×6 pieds ou 300ppi à 2×3 pieds.

La Virée de la culture est une structure de diffusion novatrice et souple pour les artistes professionnels en arts visuels à travers un réseau alternatif de salles d’exposition dans huit lieux sur la Côte-Nord.

Panache art actuel invite les artistes, les collectifs et les commissaires à soumettre un projet pour la programmation 2012-2013 de la Virée de la culture.
Panache art actuel a pour mission de regrouper les artistes professionnels en arts visuels pour dynamiser le milieu de l’art actuel nord côtier. Panache s’intéresse à la mise en valeur des singularités nord côtières telles que les notions de rapprochement/éloignement et d’espace/temps. Dans une volonté de rapprochement et d’ouverture au monde, le regroupement organise des manifestations d’arrimage en lien avec l’actualité culturelle et sociale. Un de ses mandats est de promouvoir la diffusion d’expositions itinérantes sur l’ensemble de son territoire, via la Virée de la culture. Panache se veut une plate-forme de dialogue entre l’artiste et la population, une réflexion sur l’humain, le territoire et ses paradoxes.

APPEL DE PROJET POUR COMMISSAIRE, ÉVÉNEMENT TRIENNAL D’ EST-NORD-EST ÉTÉ 2013

Est-Nord-Est est actuellement à la recherche d’un commissaire, afin de préparer un événement thématique qui se tiendra en 2013.
Outre les résidences régulières, Est-Nord-Est est aussi reconnu pour la qualité et l’ampleur de ses événements thématiques réalisés tous les trois ans. Depuis 1992, huit résidences-événements ont été développées auxquelles participent des artistes et commissaires majeurs : Métissages, commissarié par Lise Labrie et Domingo Cisneros ; Les lieux communs, commissarié par Gaston St-Pierre ; La Cueillette, commissarié par Marie Fraser ; Les Intrus commissarié par Mona Hakim et Franck Michel, La Ruche coordonné par Franck Michel, Amener l’eau au moulin coordonné par Nathalie Lafortune ; Histoires de paysages commissarié par Franck Michel ; Perdre le nord, commissarié par Marie-Ève Beaupré.
Le plus récent événement tenu en 2010, Perdre le nord, a accueilli plus de mille visiteurs. L’événement multidisciplinaire déployait en trois jours une programmation audacieuse qui articulait une réflexion sur la perte de repères tant au point de vue psychologique, géographique, qu’écologique. Une partie des artistes participants ainsi que la commissaire ont bénéficié d’une résidence de production leur permettant de développer un projet inédit.
Est-Nord-Est, résidence d’artistes offre un soutien à la recherche et à l’expérimentation en art contemporain dans un milieu d’échange professionnel unique. Sa programmation régulière se compose de résidences d’artistes, de commissaires et d’auteurs en art actuel. Cinq participants sont en résidence simultanément, ce qui favorise les échanges et la création. Outre son rôle de soutien et fort de sa spécificité, Est-Nord-Est participe activement à la compréhension et à l’appréciation de l’art actuel par la mise en valeur du processus créateur auprès de différents publics.
Modalités
Le commissaire sélectionné aura à sa disposition un budget de 26 000 $ (au minimum) et recevra un cachet de 4 000$ afin d’élaborer un projet de résidences-événements. Le cachet au commissaire sera versé en trois parties, respectant les temps de recherche, de conception et de réalisation du projet. Le commissaire aura le support de l’équipe en place afin de le soutenir dans la coordination des activités. En co-collaboration, il aura la responsabilité d’établir la programmation, de rédiger les textes promotionnels et réflexifs et de déposer certaines demandes de subventions.
Le commissaire aura la possibilité d’effectuer ses recherches sur place afin d’approfondir son projet et de lui permettre de mieux connaître la résidence et l’équipe de travail. Pour ce faire, Est-Nord-Est offrira au commissaire sélectionné un budget de déplacement et de frais permettant à ce dernier d’effectuer des séjours de prospection dès l’été 2012.

- Un pré-projet incluant une thématique, une liste d’artistes envisagées, et un échéancier (maximum trois pages en .doc / .rtf ou PDF) ;

- Tout autre document pertinent à la considération du dossier (écrits, publications antérieures, documents qui alimentent la thématique proposée, etc.)

Les Territoires est une galerie à but non lucratif qui, par le biais de ses expositions, projets et évènements, présente toutes les pratiques artistiques et se positionne comme un lieu de diffusion et d’échanges. Le programme MAPPE est un programme d’exposition et de mentorat qui fournit aux artistes de la relève les outils essentiels au démarrage et au développement de leur carrière. Les Territoires est située au 5e étage du Belgo à Montréal. La galerie accepte maintenant les propositions de projets d’exposition pour l’automne 2012. Le coût du programme MAPPE est de 1 500 $ CA TTC.

Annonce de la période de mise en candidature pour le Concours de peintures canadiennes
La période de mise en candidature pour le Concours de peintures canadiennes est maintenant commencée. Des prix totalisant 55 000 $ seront accordés ; le lauréat national recevra 25 000 $, et les deux gagnants d’une mention honorable recevront un prix de 15 000 $ chacun.
Créé en 1999, le Concours de peintures canadiennes de RBC fait connaître des artistes canadiens émergents. Dans le cadre de ce concours parrainé par la Canadian Art Foundation, un jury composé de membres respectés du monde canadien des arts visuels sélectionnera cinq œuvres dans les régions de l’Est, de l’Ouest et du Centre du Canada, pour en arriver à un total de 15 finalistes.
Les noms des finalistes seront annoncés le 29 juin 2012 et ceux des gagnants seront dévoilés à l’occasion d’une réception qui aura lieu le 29 novembre 2012 à la galerie Power Plant de Toronto.

Concours pour une œuvre d’art performatif au 2-22

Concours national d’intégration des arts à l’architecture et à l’environnement
Dans la foulée de la construction et de l’aménagement de l’édifice du 2-22, le ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine et Art actuel 2-22 annoncent la tenue d’un concours national pour la création d’une œuvre d’art performatif qui devra s’approprier l’architecture même de l’édifice.
Projet
Le programme d’intégration consiste à concevoir une œuvre d’art performatif exclusive, à la présenter au 2-22 et à la documenter. L’intervention artistique devra viser un impact significatif sur le grand public en ce qui a trait à la sensibilisation à l’art actuel et à la performance.
L’œuvre proposée sera inédite et devra inclure la présence de l’artiste en action. L’artiste doit prévoir une prestation répartie sur cinq ans, soit en exécutant la même performance présentée une fois l’an ou un ensemble d’interventions annuelles constituant une seule œuvre fragmentée dans le temps.
Budget
Le budget global disponible pour l’étape de proposition d’œuvres et pour la réalisation de l’œuvre gagnante est de 130 000 $.
Chacun des trois artistes invités à soumettre une proposition d’œuvre recevra une somme forfaitaire de 4 000 $ à la suite de la présentation de sa proposition au comité de sélection.
L’artiste dont la proposition sera choisie bénéficiera d’une somme de 118 000 $ pour la recherche, la conception et la présentation publique de son œuvre ainsi que pour la documentation de chacune des étapes de son travail.
Conditions d’admissibilité
Pour que sa candidature soit considérée admissible, le candidat doit :
• avoir la citoyenneté canadienne ou le statut de résident permanent
• avoir sa résidence principale au Québec depuis au moins 12 mois
• avoir le statut d’artiste professionnel
• avoir une pratique principale en arts visuels ou en métiers d’art
• déposer un dossier de candidature complet et en français.

Le dossier de candidature complet, en français, doit être transmis au plus tard le 13 avril 2012.
Il doit comprendre :
• un curriculum vitæ d’un maximum de trois pages, pour un artiste individuel et un collectif permanent. Dans le cas d’un collectif non permanent, le curriculum vitæ de chaque membre doit être joint au dossier
• un dossier visuel, constitué de 10 à 15 photos ou vidéos numériques d’œuvres récentes, et une liste descriptive
• une lettre d’intérêt, dans laquelle figurent les motifs justifiant le dépôt de la candidature et soulignant succinctement l’approche générale d’intervention qui serait possiblement retenue pour l’œuvre d’art performatif demandée (maximum de deux pages).

SU Création est une organisation sans but lucratif qui a sa base dans la Ville de Québec. Elle oeuvre au niveau local, et souhaite étendre son action à l’échelle régionale, nationale et internationale. Highly participatory, the Art Marathon complements Eastern Edge’s yearly programming by offering artistic diversity with a focus on community outreach and audience participation.

Artists are encouraged to propose a variety of contemporary art actions, both large and small, which could include:

Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Nocturne Programming Committee is announcing the call for independent projects for the 5th annual Nocturne: Art at Night celebration, to be held Saturday, October 13, 2012. Last year’s event included more than 100 art projects and over 20,000 people attended the one-night festival.
To apply, artists must complete and submit the Independent Project form at nocturnehalifax.ca/artist. The application requires project details, including budget considerations and location, as well as supporting images and the artist’s résumé. If an application is accepted, the accompanying images and description will be used for promotional purposes leading up to and during the event.
Applicants are invited to submit a maximum of two different independent project proposals. The applications will be reviewed by a juried panel of local arts professionals and artists, selected by the Nocturne Programming Committee. All applicants will be notified of the result of their application.
The deadline to apply is **Friday, April 13, 5 pm**. Incomplete and late applications will not be reviewed.
There will be two information sessions for interested artists on Tuesday March 13 and Wednesday March 28, both at 6 pm at The Hub, 1673 Barrington Street.
About Nocturne: Art at Night
Nocturne: Art at Night is a fall festival that brings art and energy to the streets of Halifax between 6 p.m.-midnight. This year’s event will take place on October 13, and we are celebrating the fifth anniversary! The completely free annual event showcases and celebrates the visual arts scene in Halifax. Nocturne, designed and planned by volunteers, is an opportunity for everyone to experience the art of Halifax in a whole new light. SoundFjord is currently organising “SOUND//SPACE”, a ‘pop-up’ independent record store+, for the humongous V22 space at Bermondsey, during their Summer Club, from May-July 2012.
The space will be a record store plus a cosy hub for conversation across genre (from experimental music and sound art, to jazz and exploratory music), Sound//Space will showcase the most creative individuals and labels within the industry, and will also feature talks, masterclasses, sound/music workshops and performances related to the labels involved.
SOUND//SPACE, as a centre for sonic exploration, will be a place to:
a.) buy independent and hand-made music and sound art.
b.) look at album covers and works curated by labels.
c.) meet like-minded individuals, artists/musicians, label owners, and to discuss interests.
d.) listen to sound samples from records, CDs and similar media.
e.) experience unusual live music and sound art.
f.) learn – via workshops and lectures.
g.) join in – via talks with artists and folk in the business.

The Media Production Fund is set up to assist members in the production of new media projects. The program is geared towards mid-career and established artists.
Recipients will receive the following from Video Pool:
• An Annual Access Fee for use of Video Pool suites and equipment (a $550 value)
• A Maximum of $1750 to be used toward project costs ($1250 available initially and $500 available upon receipt of a completed final report)
• Exhibition of the completed work at a Video Pool-hosted event on April 1st, 2013.

Visualeyez 2012 performance
The Thirteenth annual Visualeyez festival of performance art happens from 10–16 September 2012 in the downtown core of Edmonton, Alberta, exploring on the curatorial theme of loneliness.
Visualeyez takes place over a period of seven days and it is required that all invited artists are able to attend for the entire length of the festival. Artists experience the work of other artists; engage in discussion groups, meals and other activities that enhance the work of individual artists and the performance art community within Canada and beyond. It is important that prior to submitting that artist is available for a minimum of six days during the festival. Please visit visualeyez.org for the past festival information.
Curator and Founder of Visualeyez, Todd Janes states, “Visualeyez 2012 builds upon notions of an ever-expanding and more urban city. This theme will explore issues such as emotional versus social isolation, chronic and transient states of loneliness within the city and our inter-relationships with crowds, emptiness and intimacy. I want to present artists that will explore the theme of loneliness and enhance dialogues regarding the societal issues, community connectivity and understanding of the concept and its impact on individuals and society as a whole.”
Proposals should include: a CV; artist statement; a detailed description of the work you wish to present, or explore; and support material that can include images, video, print or digital documentation of your work, catalogues, and press.
The deadline for submission is Friday, 27 April 2012.

Plug In ICA is now accepting applications for our 2012 Summer Institute featuring faculty, curator Sylvie Gilbert (Montreal) and artist Andrew Kearney (London, UK).

The Summer Institute is an international post-graduate artist residency for professional artists working in all disciplines. Up to ten artists, architects, designers, curators and other creative professionals will share a collegial, open-studio environment. This critical discursive opportunity will take place in Plug In ICA’s new purpose-built facilities, with an adjoining workshop, art research library, gallery, bookshop and café. Plug In ICA is located at the perimeter of the University of Winnipeg campus, adjacent to the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and in the heart of an urban environment.
Participants are encouraged to pursue their own practices and projects within the context of a shared/collegial/collaborative environment. Faculty and staff provide support and feedback to participants in the program, and work to foster productive and rewarding professional development opportunities. Participants may instigate and participate in collaborative projects, or work independently.
The Institute will host other visiting curators throughout the residency to conduct studio visits with artists.
Sylvie Gilbert is currently the director of Artexte in Montreal, a centre dedicated to the study, the documentation and the interpretation of documents produced in the field of contemporary visual arts. The various positions she has held in arts organizations, museums and public galleries, have included senior curator at the Walter Phillips Gallery and the Banff International Curatorial Institute at the Banff Centre (2004-2008), and director/curator of the Liane and Danny Taran Gallery at the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts in Montreal (2001-2004). Gilbert acted as the Canadian Commissioner for Catherine Richards for the Sydney Biennale (2004). She has curated numerous exhibitions, the most recent include: alt.publication.artists.contemporary.mtl.ottawa.gimli, Pickpocket Almanack Project, Artissima, Italy (2010); Derek Sullivan and Gareth Long: The Illustrated Dictionary of Received Ideas (2010); Bureau de Change (2008); Micah Lexier’s Touch Paper Once: Selected Documents from the Walter Phillips Gallery Archive 1976 – 2007 (2008); Garry Neill Kennedy: Simple Functionalism (2008); Dagmara Genda: Screamers and Bangers: The Wallpaper Project (2008), and Comic Craze (2006) among others. She has also edited numerous publications including the latest two issues of Supplément, a periodical published by Éditions Artextes.
Andrew Kearney, a mixed media installation artist, was born in Limerick, Ireland in 1961. He studied fine art at Limerick College of Art and Design, and then went on to Chelsea College of Art and Design, where he obtained an MA in sculpture. He won the Barclays Young Artist award at the Serpentine Gallery, London, in 1992. The same year, he was awarded a fellowship at the PS1 studios of contemporary art in New York. Kearney moved back to London in 1993, where he developed an installation for the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin. The following year he developed other installations for the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, the Camden Arts Centre, London and the Ottawa Art Gallery, Ontario. Site-specific work led to collaborative architecture and public art projects, including a commission for Heathrow Terminal One, with architect, Nicholas Grimshaw, and the Public Art Development Trust. In 2001 Kearney worked with Glen Howell architects on their “Millennium Project” for Westminster Council and on the “Courtyard Interface” for South Thames College, London and the Public Arts Commission Agency. In 2001/2002 he completed two large installation projects in Ireland, “With Intent”, Limerick and “Illumination” at the Boiler House in Ballymun, Dublin. In 2004 he was commissioned to develop an artwork entitled, “Art Wall”, in the new chambers of Limerick County Council. In 2004 Kearney completed his second residency on the ”Informal Architecture” program at the Banff Centre for the Arts. Last year he completed a three-year research program funded by the AHRC at Middlesex College of Art, London. The project looked at the ways in which we inhabit a purpose built environment of an art campus and how that space changes its role as the needs of its users change with new technologies. Two books were published: “Phase 2”, 2007 and the “Spaces Buildings Make”, 2008, culminating in an installation on the South Bank – part of the London Architecture Biennale. In recent years he has worked on projects such as interactive lighting for the Wexford Opera House in Ireland, entitled, “Liquid Mountain” 2009, Hull, England, and “Art in Empty Spaces” 2010, Tate Britain, 2011. PLATFORM: Call to Filmmakers & Video Artists, Deadline July 3
Call For Submissions: palimpsest
PLATFORM announces a call for submissions for film + video in response to the theme of the palimpsest. A screening will be presented in conjunction with PLATFORM’s palimpsest year and will take place in the Artspace Building.
Taking our cue from the historical phenomenon of the palimpsest as a scroll or text that is written only to be erased in order to make room for the inscription of new ideas, PLATFORM is currently in a year-long investigation into how photography and its sister media, film and video, can act as contemporary palimpsests or re-writable texts. Winnipeg is a prairie city where you can see a snowstorm coming three days away. The flatness of our location holds with the possibility that we take in not only the periphery but also the past and future. palimpsest, should not be mistaken as a sentimental elucidation about the past. It explores a rhizomatic vision of past, present, and future in various simultaneous possibilities.

MUU FOR EARS will provide an opportunity for sound artists from outside Finland to showcase sound art and experimental music projects as part of an international sound event at MUU studio in June 2012. MUU is looking for a wide range of material such as sound installations, experimental musical improvisations, remix and sample compositions, sound sculptures and live performances, as well as other ways of making sound and music. The MUU studio is a black box of 10 m2. The space is suitable for one or two installations. MUU will cover travel to Finland, accommodation and a small artist fee.

Hiroshima 2012 – International Animation Festival
Hiroshima International Animation Festival is a biennial manifestation held in Hiroshima City in August, endorsed by Association Internationale du Film d’Animation (ASIFA). Under the spirit of Love & Peace, the festival has been dedicating to the advancement of visual media art culture in general, by promoting international cross-cultural exchanges through the development of animation art.

Visionen 2012: Festival for Sound and New Media Arts
The biennial “Visions” Festival engages this discrepancy by presenting leading international artists in Germany in a forum that also addresses the theoretical foundations of the relationship between music and media arts. The festival aims to offer both artists and art theorists a platform for the presentation of their works, ideas and use of new technologies to the general public. “Visions” also offers young composers an open forum in which they can engage with new media art forms and, in particular, with the interaction of music with the visual arts.
The 2012 “Visions” Festival is therefore calling for submissions of works in Music and Media Arts which feature video and music: video art, visual music, animation, contemporary or electronic music with visual components, experimental video.

Appel d’offres/ résidence de création à l’atelier d’estampe Imago.
Imago Inc. est un centre d’artistes autogéré de production en estampe.
Le mandat de l’atelier Imago est de promouvoir et diffuser la création artistique dans le domaine de l’estampe contemporaine. Fondé en 1986 et
incorporé en 1992, par 11 artistes du sud-est du Nouveau-Brunswick, le centre offre un lieu de recherche à ses membres et un atelier fonctionnel aux artistes.
L’atelier d’estampe Imago Inc. est à la recherche d’artistes pour travailler dans son atelier pendant une période de 2 à 3 semaines.
Imago absorbera les frais de transport, l’hébergement et donnera un cachet d’artiste de 500$ par semaine.

PACT Zollverein Residence
PACT Zollverein has been supporting residencies for the development of artistic projects and productions since 2002. The Residency Programme is open to professional artists from home and abroad who work in the areas of dance, performance, media arts or music.

V2_Lab offers an international residence program for professional media artists.
The program currently consists of two fully funded and technically supported residencies a year (full residency) and irregular residency positions in the form of providing a workplace within the V2_Lab (support residency).
Full Residencies
To acquire a ‘full residency’ position, artists may propose research and development projects within the topics specified in (and following the detailed guidelines of) V2_’s calls for residency projects. These calls are sent out and announced on this website twice a year.

Support Residencies
‘Support residencies’ are open to artists worldwide and especially aimed at experienced professionals that can work autonomously but may benefit from the expertise and technology available in the V2_Lab. Atelier Topaz – résidence
Opasatika, Ontario, Canada
Le lieu
Situés au cœur de la forêt boréale, les Ateliers Topaz sont à la fois un lieu de retraite et un centre de création pour artistes, toutes disciplines confondues. L’endroit parfait pour la réflexion, l’évasion. Le groupement d’édifices fait 900 mètres carrés et repose sur 14 hectares face à la route Transcanadienne. Il donne sur un étang de deux hectares. Topaz c’est la « Route 66 » dans le nord de l’Ontario. L’endroit, modeste et nostalgique, rappelle aussi les grandes épopées de la colonisation francophone de l’Ontario. Ces studios de création ou cette résidence d’artistes, endroit idéal pour les arts visuels, sont situés au centre du Canada, à mi-chemin entre l’Atlantique et le Pacifique, là où les étoiles deviennent les topazes de la nuit.
Ce qu’on offre
D’abord l’espace et, l’espace de travail déterminés selon les besoins de l’artiste. Les espaces polyvalents permettent d’y faire de la peinture, de la sculpture, de l’installation, etc. L’atelier de menuiserie, le Bar à clou, est équipé des outils de base. Un magasin d’objets trouvés est disponible autant pour l’inspiration que pour l’utilisation dans une œuvre. Le peintre apporte ses pinceaux, le musicien son instrument et l’écrivain son ordi.
Les personnes qui séjournent aux Ateliers Topaz jouissent de l’accès à la cuisine et sont responsables de préparer leurs repas. Toutefois Laurent peut aussi leur cuisiner de petits plats typiquement canadiens-français aux besoins ou aux désirs.
Topaz possède deux suites avec lit double et une chambre avec lit simple. Chacune possède sa salle de toilette avec douche. Ces installations évoquent admirablement le style des années 1960.
Pour la baignade, le Lac des Cœurs se situe à deux kilomètres à l’est. Pour le canotage ou la pèche, la rivière Opasatika est deux kilomètres à l’ouest. Pour se déplacer, il y a de vieux vélos ou la marche. Pour un frais très raisonnable, votre hôte peut aussi vous conduire ou organiser un déplacement vers Kapuskasing à l’est ou vers Hearst à l’ouest.
Les matériaux d’artistes ne sont pas disponibles dans la région. Il est donc important de faire vos achats avant votre séjour, à moins que vous travailliez avec des matériaux que l’on peut se procurer dans des magasins ordinaires ou même en nature.

Consists of a one-month stay at the Tapiola Guest Studio, located in Espoo, 8 km from the centre of Helsinki. The residency is located in a park-like setting just beside the sea. The studio has a total area of 83 m2, plus a living balcony of 15 m2.
Residency time August 1-31, 2012. The residency is organised in cooperation with The Finnish Artists’ Studio Foundation.

The residency includes an artists talk at the MUU gallery. MUU is also interested in arranging a sound workshop in August, and are looking for proposals for the workshop. A salary will be paid for conducting the workshop.

MUU will cover travel to Finland, accommodation and a small artist fee.

The Curtis R. Priemn Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC) is dedicated to advancing research and artistic production at the intersection of technology, media and the time-based arts (media arts, video, music, dance, theater, etc.). The combination of artist-driven content with contemporary media and performing arts technology in the field of time- based arts stands in the center of the artistic research and production activities of EMPAC. EMPAC’s goal is to provide an environment to support the realization of works at any stage from inception to completion. This means that an EMPAC residency can support works which take a long period of time to develop and which may need different resources at different phases of the production. The Artists in Residence program is available to individuals, groups, ensembles or collectives to develop new approaches and new works in the time-based arts. EMPAC is also offering a Scholar and Researcher in Residence Program. Visiting scholars and researchers will participate in the formation of an intellectual community in scientific and engineering disciplines that may also engage perceptual and artistic knowledge and practice.
Studio information:
EMPAC has three acoustically isolated spaces that become dedicated to a particular artist or researcher while in residence at EMPAC. They are ideal as a study, office, work, or rehearsal space, or for contained work using computers for audio or video. Each studio has an equipment closet to house noisy electronics. There are shared kitchen facilities for the Residency Studios.

Artist-in-residence centre
Sundaymorning@ekwc annually welcomes about 45 artists, designers and architects to experiment with ceramics for a continuous or phased period of three months. Sundaymorning@ekwc offers studios, workplaces, living space, the most advanced equipment and the support of a team of specialists.
Residencies
Living and working amongst other artists, designers and architects, will lead to inspiration and experiment. If you have tried ceramics before, you will be amazed by the wide range of facilities. If ceramics is new to you, ekwc’s team of supervisors will guide you through the ceramic process.
Applications
A participant can apply for a regular residency at sundaymorning@ekwc only once. A second residency is possible by renting a project studio. Of the 45 annual vacancies, 8 are reserved for recently graduated art students. All applicants will be assessed by the selection committee.

Sundaymorning@ekwc offers two distinct types of residencies: regular residencies and project residencies. The regular residencies are devided into individual residencies; residencies for young participants and Cad/Cam residencies. The project residencies are devided into ceramics project residencies and Cad/Cam project residencies.
