La Galerie Colline est un centre de diffusion en art contemporain. Son conseil d’administration sollicite des propositions d’artistes, de collectifs ou de commissaires pour sa programmation 2017-18.

Les dossiers doivent comprendre :

une lettre d’intention (indiquer clairement le titre du projet proposé et son contexte de présentation en galerie)

une description détaillée du projet

les besoins techniques en salle d’exposition

un curriculum vitæ (une biographie de l’artiste est également acceptée)

de dix à quinze exemples d’œuvres récentes (en format numérique seulement)

une liste détaillée du matériel d’appui

une enveloppe de retour affranchie

La Galerie Colline :
La Galerie Colline est un centre de diffusion en art contemporain voué à la présentation des arts visuels et multidisciplinaires. Notre centre de diffusion préconise les pratiques artistiques dont l’accent est porté sur l’expérimentation et l’innovation. Notre programmation tient compte des différentes tendances de l’art actuel, considérant la pertinence de celles-ci comme sources d’inspiration et de développement pour le milieu des arts et sa propre communauté artistique.

PRÉSENTATION DE PROJETS EN DÉVELOPPEMENT
POUR LES ARTISTES ÉMERGENTS EN ARTS NUMÉRIQUES

Initiées par par la Société des arts technologiques (SAT), en collaboration avec le Conseil québécois des arts médiatiques (CQAM), l’Agence TOPO, Eastern Bloc, le Labo NT2, OBORO, PRIM, Studio XX et Vidéographe, les rencontres Labsessions invitent la communauté des créateurs émergents en arts numériques à soumettre un projet en cours de développement dans le cadre de la douzième soirée qui se tiendra le mercredi 22 mars 2017 à la Société des arts technologiques (SAT).

Les rencontres Labsessions visent à offrir une vitrine et un tremplin aux artistes émergents en arts numériques. Les soirées sont aussi un lieu d’échanges et de rencontres pour les artistes, intervenants et organismes du milieu.

Trois projets seront sélectionnés et chaque artiste, dont le projet est retenu, sera invité à faire une courte présentation (ou démo) lors de la soirée Labsessions devant un panel de représentants de centres d’artistes. Suite à ces présentations et dans un esprit critique constructif, ceux-ci émettront des commentaires ou des recommandations qui lui seront remis ultérieurement par écrit.

À leur discrétion, les organismes partenaires pourraient offrir en complément au Labsessions, un support pouvant varier en fonction de leur mandat et des ressources disponibles (prêt de matériel spécialisé, accès aux laboratoires, support technique, consultation ou mentorat, accès à une activité ou à un festival, etc.).

POUR PARTICIPER
-Être un artiste émergent canadien en arts numériques ;
-Avoir un projet novateur en cours de développement ;
-Ne soumettre qu’un projet par édition ;

-Si sélectionné, être disponible pour présenter en personne son projet devant un public et préparer une présentation de 15 minutes (avec des images si possible) en français ou en anglais.

Invitation à participer à
La Minute vidéo 2017

Québec, le 31 janvier 2016 — Folie/Culture propose à tous les artistes professionnels ou amateurs, membres, proches et intervenants du milieu social, de s’investir dans une expérience de réflexion particulière : réaliser une vidéo d’une durée d’une minute produite sur le thème POST-.

Il semble que le mot « post- » soit la nouvelle coqueluche dans le fabuleux univers des concepts. Ce qui apparait dépassé et vieillot est désormais qualifié de « post- » : post-vérité, post-désinstitutionnalisé, post-traumatique, post-avant-garde, post-colonialisme, etc. Nous sommes englués dans l’hégémonie du « post- » alors que ce préfixe est sensé marquer une rupture radicale, un changement de paradigme. Le « post- » ne nomme plus la nouveauté, il condamne seulement le passé et nous entraîne dans un cul-de-sac.

Folie/Culture vous convie non pas à l’ère de « l’après-post- », mais plutôt à l’ère de l’a-POST-. Affranchissons-nous du POST- et renommons le présent ! Artistes et fous, à vos armes ! Que chaque proposition soit un manifeste de construction du réel, qu’il donne corps à une esthétique, à un imaginaire social, à un ébranlement des certitudes mortifères.

Les Minutes vidéo sélectionnées seront projetées à l’occasion d’une soirée publique dans le cadre de la programmation 2017-2018. Pour participer, vous avez deux options :

APPEL DE PROJETS D’EXPOSITION pour la saison d’exposition 2018

L’École d’art d’Ottawa (ÉAO) accepte dès maintenant les soumissions de projets d’exposition pour la saison d’exposition 2018. Les œuvres en cours ou envisagées peuvent être soumises tant pour la galerie du campus du marché By que pour la galerie du campus d’Orléans. L’appel est ouvert à tous les artistes; toutes les techniques artistiques sont admissibles. Les projets d’exposition collective sont aussi acceptés.
Les artistes doivent soumettre un seul projet et indiquer dans laquelle des galeries ils désirent présenter leur exposition (marché By ou Orléans). Une seule proposition d’exposition peut être déposée pour une soumission aux deux campus. Dans le cas d’une soumission aux deux campus, vous devez indiquer de quelle façon votre exposition s’adaptera aux dimensions distinctes des deux espaces de galerie.

Information de base sur les deux galeries:
La galerie du marché By offre un espace mural d’environ 735 pieds carrés et possède un plancher de bois franc.
Dimensions de la pièce : 28′ – 7.5″ x 25′ – 6.5″.
Hauteur de plafond : 11′ – 7.5″.
Hauteur de l’éclairage : 9′ – 9″.

La galerie d’Orléans offre environ 1313 pieds carrés d’espace mural et possède un sol en béton.
Dimensions de la pièce : 60′ – 0″ x 22′ – 0″
Hauteur de plafond : 12′ – 3″
Hauteur de l’éclairage : 9′ – 8″
La galerie d’Orléans a également plusieurs panneaux muraux mobiles mesurant 118″ x 48″, qui peuvent être utilisés pour diviser la pièce sur sa longueur.

Soumissions :
Pour être considérées, les soumissions de projets DOIVENT inclure les renseignements ci-dessous :
1. Une description de l’exposition précisant les intentions de l’artiste et le titre de l’exposition; 2. La démarche artistique et un curriculum vitae d’expositions à jour;
3. Joindre à la demande un maximum de dix images d’œuvres récentes réalisées au cours des deux dernières années. Ne pas joindre d’œuvres originales. Veuillez consulter les Directives de soumission pour les documents d’accompagnement (ci-jointes);
4. Une liste d’œuvres qui comprend : le nom, la technique, les dimensions et l’année de réalisation.

Processus de sélection :
Le jury, formé de trois professionnels du domaine artistique, basera ses choix sur la qualité des œuvres, l’intégrité de l’ensemble du projet et le lien de celui-ci avec les programmes courants de l’ÉAO. (Les projets mal organisés ne seront pas considérés). Les membres du jury se rencontreront au cours des quatre semaines suivant la date limite de soumission.
• Les artistes seront informés de la décision du jury dans les deux semaines suivant la rencontre du jury.
• Les documents accompagnant la soumission pourront être récupérés au bureau de la réception de l’ÉAO à ce moment-là ou, si vous fournissez une enveloppe de retour affranchie, elle vous sera renvoyée par la poste. Les soumissions non réclamées seront détruites dans un délai de deux semaines.
• Les DC, DVD et clés USB seront renvoyés par la poste seulement si l’artiste a fourni une enveloppe de retour suffisamment affranchie.
• L’ÉAO n’assume aucune responsabilité pour les dommages causés aux DC, DVD ou clés USB, ou pour la perte de ceux-ci lors du transport par Postes Canada.

Conditions de l’exposition:
• L’artiste recevra (ou les artistes recevront) un cachet d’exposition selon le tarif fixé par CARFAC.
• Les artistes sélectionnés assumeront la responsabilité du transport des œuvres et veilleront à se procurer une assurance transport à destination et en provenance de l’ÉAO.
• Pour les œuvres tridimensionnelles, vidéo ou médiatiques sélectionnées qui exigent des équipements spéciaux pour l’installation, il est de la responsabilité de l’artiste de fournir l’équipement nécessaire.

La Ville de Saint-Lambert est heureuse de lancer un appel de candidatures dans le cadre de son projet « Musée à ciel ouvert de Saint-Lambert ». Ce concours est exclusivement destiné aux artistes professionnels du Canada établis ou de la relève ainsi qu’aux commissaires.Les œuvres sélectionnées seront exposées sur les bâtiments au cœur de la Ville de Saint- Lambert.LE PROJET
« Musée à ciel ouvert de Saint-Lambert » est un projet de la Ville visant à développer un parcours artistique à caractère touristique. Par la présentation d’œuvres d’art disséminées sur un tracé prédéterminé du centre-ville et de tous les districts, la ville de Saint-Lambert devient une galerie à ciel ouvert où les murs se transforment en espaces d’exposition. À la suite de la deuxième phase, le visiteur se verra présenter une quinzaine d’œuvres d’art supplémentaires au circuit existant.
Le projet vise ainsi à mettre en lumière les œuvres d’artistes en arts visuels qui seront sélectionnées et reproduites en grand format, installées sur des immeubles publics et privés.
La Ville retiendra un (1) dossier de la relève professionnel et un (1) dossier d’artiste professionnel lambertois parmi les ajouts d’œuvres pour la deuxième phase.Musée à ciel ouvert de Saint-Lambert

Implanté à Lévis, Regart, centre d’artistes en art actuel assure, depuis 1986, une présence dynamique des arts visuels actuels auprès des publics des territoires de Chaudière-Appalaches et de Québec.

Présentée en galerie, mais aussi extra-muros, la programmation de Regart met l’accent sur des productions relevant de l’hybridation des formes d’expression et de l’expérimentation, tant dans les processus de création que dans la présentation des expositions, où la qualité artistique et l’importance du discours théorique sont mises de l’avant.

Orientation artistique 2017-2018
Quelle est la place de la diversité dans le centre d’artistes ?

Des événements politiques récents, d’ici et d’ailleurs, mettent en lumière des situations fortes où des acquis fondamentaux concernant l’équité, l’égalité et l’inclusion sont ébranlés, sont remis en question. La réalité explose, se fait multiple, fait place à de nouvelles perspectives et transforme l’écosystème de nos sociétés. Cette atmosphère bouillonnante et dynamisante est au cœur des conversations quotidiennes et des préoccupations. C’est pourquoi Regart s’est demandé comment ces réflexions pouvaient être rendues visibles à l’intérieur des structures actuelles et des orientations artistiques d’un centre d’artistes. Comment faire de Regart un vase communicant entre ces réalités vibrantes et une structure de diffusion des arts visuels actuels? Comment pouvons-nous contribuer à imaginer un espace de réflexion où plusieurs sensibilités, qu’elles soient sociales, humaines, ethniques politiques ou autres, puissent se rencontrer, s’entrechoquer et alimenter des discussions sur l’écologie de notre monde actuel?

La programmation 2017-2018 est donc dédiée aux artistes qui habitent ces préoccupations. Que ce soit de la pluralité des discours, des positions ethnographiques, politiques, humaines et sociales; que ce soit des artistes qui font œuvre de leur handicap ou qui traitent du handicap dans leur pratique; que ce soit des pratiques qui revendiquent des positions sociales engagées dans l’inclusion et des marges ; que ce soit des artistes qui ne se sentent pas en marge, mais qui le deviennent dans le regard des autres; ou tout simplement que ce soit dans l’apparition d’une réalité ou d’une sensibilité qui semble improbable dans l’espace de diffusion d’un centre d’artistes, sans créer de division, Regart souhaite recevoir des propositions qui contribuent à enrichir ces positions.  Sans considération hiérarchique quant à la question de diversité, Regart souhaite proposer et présenter des artistes et des pratiques artistiques qui parlent de plusieurs réalités visibles ou invisibles, et parfois même occultées par le discours et les modes en place.

Suite au succès retentissant de la programmation des expositions collectives et des activités des membres du centre combinées à la programmation régulière, Regart reconnaît l’importance et le potentiel de réanimer cette vive et inspirante possibilité d’un centre d’artistes d’être un lieu de rencontres, de mise en réseaux et de dialogue entre les artistes, les œuvres, les membres impliqués, l’équipe du centre et son public. Mais plus encore cette année d’établir un dialogue avec une diversité d’approches dans le discours ou dans la forme de présentation des arts visuels, en prenant le grand terme de la diversité dans son sens optimal, positif et inclusif.

C’est pourquoi, pour sa programmation 2016-2017, Regart souhaite développer une série de quatre expositions individuelles, collectives ou projets de commissaires. Nous vous invitons donc, artistes et commissaires, à nous envoyer vos dossiers pour développer, avec nous, cette orientation unique dans les régions de Chaudière-Appalaches et de Québec.

Les artistes sont libres de présenter des oeuvres inédites ou déjà produites. Il est à noter cependant que nous ne considérerons pas les projets ayant déjà été présentés dans les trois dernières années dans les régions de Chaudière-Appalaches et de Québec.

Les commissaires qui travaillent autour de la question des thèmes de la diversité comme structure de leurs recherches sont également invités à nous présenter un projet d’exposition composé d’un maximum de quatre artistes de leur choix.

Les artistes et commissaires sont invités à nous présenter leurs dossiers en considérant qu’une proposition de conférences, de table ronde et de manifestation particulière pourrait être mise en place comme support au projet.

Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium Call for Submissions

New Adventures in Sound Art (NAISA), the Canadian Electroacoustic Community (CEC) and the Canadian Music Centre (CMC) are pleased to announce the 11th edition of the Toronto International Electroacoustic Symposium (TIES), and delighted to welcome Quebec sound artist Chantal Dumas as Keynote Speaker this year. Dumas is a highly respected sound artist who explores the medium of sound through the production of audio fiction and docufiction, sound installation, composition and sound design.

The symposium will take place in Toronto from 9–12 August 2017 at the Ernest Balmer Studio and at the Michael J. Baker Studio in Toronto’s historic Distillery District.

We are now inviting proposals for papers, lecture-recitals, special sessions of 2 to 4 panellists, compositions and performances to be presented at TIES 2017 (submission deadline: 3 March 2017).

TIES is a unique point of convergence for a growing international community of diverse electroacoustic (EA) practitioners. We look forward to seeing you at TIES 2017, where you can explore and share diverse perspectives on electroacoustic and sound art research and practice, while expanding your artistic and professional network.

General Information

The 2017 symposium is the eleventh annual iteration of this important opportunity for exchange between diverse EA communities. In recent years, a number of themes have emerged, among them: creative and collaborative practices, curation, research and analysis, algorithmic processes, videomusic and intermedia practices, electronic ensembles and live coding.

As in preceding years, the symposium leads directly into the main concert weekend of the annual Sound Travels Festival of Sound Art. This 19th edition of Sound Travels explores emerging trends alongside established traditions in electroacoustic music. At the heart of TIES 2017 will be a Keynote Lecture by Chantal Dumas, one of Sound Travels’ featured artists. TIES and Sound Travels events will be presented using NAISA’s real-time spatialization system.

Southern Alberta Art Gallery (SAAG) Submission Guidelines
Exhibition proposals are accepted throughout the year and reviews are ongoing.  Selection is carried out over a period of time through studio visits and correspondence with artists and curators in whom the gallery has an interest.  Those interested in proposing their work to SAAG are asked to include with their submission: a curriculum vitae, an artist statement and/or letter of intent, a wide selection of images, and other relevant support material. The gallery will not return your submission – please do not send original artworks or valuable materials.   Given the large number of submissions received by the gallery, formal letters of reply will only be issued to proposals of immediate interest.

Exhibitions are generally six weeks in length.  An opening is held to introduce the work to the public.  Artists are also invited to give an illustrated lecture on their work in conjunction with the University of Lethbridge Faculty of Fine Art during the academic year.  Other special events (workshops, panel discussions, etc.) are considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Southern Alberta Art Gallery pays CARFAC fees, shipping and insurance, and often seeks funding to produce catalogues for the exhibition.  All publications, including our quarterly newsletter GALLERY (which discusses and reproduces work by exhibiting artists along with other programming), are exchanged with other institutions in Canada and abroad.

Modern Fuel Annual Programming Submissions

Modern Fuel Artist-Run Centre facilitates the presentation,
interpretation, and production of visual and time-based arts. Our
exhibitions engage with an array of approaches to contemporary
aesthetics, and cover a broad scope of conceptual, formal, socio-
political and cultural questions. We welcome proposals for solo and
group exhibitions, as well as performances, curatorial projects,
collaborations, lectures, workshops and other events.

Gallery

Proposals are reviewed by Modern Fuel’s selections committee soon
after our annual deadline of March 1st. Modern Fuel has an email only
submissions policy, and files (combined no larger than 12 MB) should
be formatted as per our submissions guidelines, found at
modernfuel.org/submissions. Please note that applications for
exhibitions (both solo and group) may be considered for inclusion in
group exhibitions that are curated by our Artistic Director and
Programming Committee. Successful applicants will be notified by

Main Gallery

Modern Fuel’s programming strives to reflect the diversity of aesthetic
practices both regionally and extra-regionally, according to submission
criteria as determined by the Artistic Director and Programming
Committee. Proposals are selected according to their critical and
exploratory character – exploratory insofar as they pose significant
questions (formally, conceptually and politically) within current artistic
and broader socio-cultural contexts.

State of Flux

The State of Flux Project Room accepts applications from artists in the
Kingston region (with a perimeter defined by Zone 4 according to the
OAC Exhibition Assistance Program). The State of Flux has the same
mandate as the Main Gallery, but applications are restricted in order to
create more exhibition opportunities for regional artists.

The Workers Arts & Heritage Centre is Canada’s national community museum dedicated to sharing and celebrating the stories of Canada’s working peoples through historic exhibitions and contemporary and interdisciplinary art. We are currently seeking exhibition proposals from artists and arts collectives for our main gallery exhibition schedule for 2018-2020 organized around broad themes of social justice, stories of working peoples of the past, present, or future, issues surrounding contemporary work or labour, the environment, or that focus on the histories and contemporary concerns of underrepresented, or marginalized communities in Canada as it relates to our mandate. WAHC’s current strategic plan has incorporated the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendation that museums can play a role in reconciliation and education.

We are particularly interested in supporting, and encourage, submissions from racialized artists and First Nations artists, working in all artistic mediums as well as new media, installation, interdisciplinary and community-engaged arts. Due to the nature of our space, large sculptural works that are not easily moved cannot be accommodated. Artists from anywhere in Canada can submit.

The Main Gallery at the Workers Arts & Heritage Centre is a professional exhibition space for artists that meet the definition of a professional artist as defined by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council. Professional fees are paid in accordance with CARFAC rates.

IN YOUR POCKET: Partners In Crime

The immediacy and intimacy offered by smart phone technology is an
intriguing way to explore how we record ourselves and each other.

Presented in partnership the 2017 Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film
Festival, IN YOUR POCKET is a curated video program inviting artists
to explore these recording technologies in their own personal ways.

For the 6th edition of IN YOUR POCKET: Partners in Crime, the RT
Collective will team up with two guest curators; collaborative duo
Sabine Lebel and Alison Taylor.

Artists are invited to submit proposals for new works created with one
or more collaborative partners and/or addressing the theme Partners In
Crime. The nature of the collaboration is up to the artists, however we
are particularly interested in new collaborations or artists working with
existing collaborators in new ways.

The program operates on a « micro-commissioning » model. We do not
program existing works. Instead, we invite artists to submit proposals
for new works they would like to create and then support that process
of creation.

Selected projects will receive a combined budget/screening fee of $200
and be screened in partnership with the 2017 Inside Out Toronto LGBT
Film Festival.

REQUIREMENTS:
We accept proposals for new works which are conceived and created
specifically for this program. Please do not submit works you have
already created for consideration.
Collaborative teams must have at least one artist based in Canada.
Works must be recorded on a smart phone, iPad, or webcam (editing
can happen on a computer)
Completed works should be 4 minutes or less
Works should be created through a collaboration between two or more
artists and address LGBTTIQQ2S themes and/or perspectives.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:
Proposals must be submitted via email using the attached form.
Proposals submitted without the form or with incomplete information will be deemed ineligible.
Proposals must include a link to one previously created video work. The jury will watch a maximum of 4 minutes.

Toronto – various sites, Summer 2017

Art Spin is gearing up for its ninth season this summer and is looking for exciting and imaginative submissions for its 2017 programming starting in June.

Art Spin has been operating professionally as an arts presenter since 2009, activating decommissioned venues and unique public spaces to produce large scale group exhibitions along with curated bicycle-led art tours, showcasing a wide range of newly commissioned art programming in unique site-specific settings.

Most recently Art Spin produced in/future: a transformative art experience, the highly acclaimed 11 day multidisciplinary art and music festival at Ontario Place this past September. Led by Layne Hinton and Rui Pimenta, artists and independent curators, Art Spin is driven by a strong sense of commitment and passion for presenting contemporary artworks in unusual, everyday spaces in order to make its audience’s experience with art more engaging and exciting.

Art Spin’s bicycle led art tours have become one of the city’s most anticipated events of the summer, attracting a diverse and enthusiastic audience of at least 350 people per tour. Programming is varied, consisting of commissioned, multi-disciplinary works which range from art performances to installations.

Central to Art Spin’s mandate and a big part of what makes our tours so impactful is our commitment to transplanting encounters with art from conventional, institutional spaces into more alternative and public environments. We believe that encounters with art are made more meaningful and demonstrably engaging when they are experienced in a communal context, in unique site-specific locations.

In past years we have commissioned projects that have taken place in parking structures, empty lots, public parks, vacant factories and warehouses, alleyways, churches, schoolyards, community spaces, hockey rinks and construction sites.

With this in mind Art Spin is looking for project submissions that are able to respond to their urban and cultural environment. Submissions for art projects from all disciplines (visual arts, installation, sculpture, film & video, new media, performance art, dance, theatre and music etc.) will be accepted but only those that embody a site-specific vision will be reviewed. This can mean work that responds to an environment in either a geographic, architectural, cultural, historical, or personal manner. Submissions that rely on a gallery type setting will not be considered.

HOW TO SUBMIT:
Art Spin is seeking submissions from individual artists and collectives working in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to; sculpture, installation, film & video, electronic & kinetic work, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, performance art, dance, music, and theatre.

2017 Burtynsky Grant
Supporting the Creation of Canadian Photobooks

Renowned Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky and the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival are looking for submissions for the 2017 Burtynsky Grant—a $5,000 annual grant to support a Canadian artist in the creation of a photobook. Burtynsky generously donated his 2016 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts of $25,000 to create the grant and foster the careers of emerging Canadian artists.

This grant is intended to support photo-based artists who are in the advanced stages of developing a photobook. The jury is looking for submissions from those that have created a book dummy, are currently seeking funding to work with a publisher or to self-publish, and who have had little to no prior opportunity to publish a photobook. The winner will be announced at the end of May 2017.

Toronto Performance Art Collective, presenter of the biennial 7a*11d
International Festival of Performance Art, is currently seeking proposals from
Canadian and International artists for a series of events during our « off year » that
examine contemporary developments in the relationship between performance
art and new media. In 2017, we will present 7a*md8, a 3-part series that
considers examines how new media impacts the direction of performance art
activity. Our programming will feature performances for the camera, performances
for new/social media platforms and a live streamed international performance
event that can accommodate artists and audiences with limited mobility (e.g.
those who find it difficult to travel because they are living in remote locations,
living with disabilities, constrained by domestic obligations, etc.). http://7a-

*Performance for the Camera – Pre-recorded (Max. 10 min)
Works in this program will showcase a diverse range of contemporary artists and
practices and reflect a variety of communities and circumstances (e.g. rural,
generational, racialized, queer and transgendered, differently abled). In the past
few years we have seen how the camera has played a major role in bringing
attention to narratives, events and bodies marginalized from the general public.
The artists selected for this series will speak to our relationship to media as a
form of accessible communication in the face of unevenly permeable borders.
The venue for this event will be an outdoor public screening, which may place
some restrictions on the content selected.

*New/Social Media Performance – Live
Works in this events will highlight how contemporary artists use social media
platforms to develop new performance forms and to find new ways of connecting
with audiences. For artists working in performance, video-capture platforms like
Snapchat, Periscope, Vine and Instagram provide an instant and accessible
medium for documentation and dissemination. This allows, among other
possibilities, for ongoing, cumulative performance practices that can record
everyday situations in home and work spaces that used to be inaccessible to a
general public. These projects will be hosted on 7a*11d’s website and social
media platforms, and featured at a public launch in Toronto.

*Media = Mobility – Live
Our vision for this live streaming project is to feature a total of 13 artists from
across Canada (10 provinces, 3 territories) along with 5 additional artists situated
across the globe. This one-day event of simultaneous, serial and/or overlapping
performances (length variable between 15 minutes – 12 hours) will include a
strong focus on artists who identify as being Indigenous or Mtis, ethnically
diverse, deaf or disabled, queer or transgendered, and non-urban. As 2017
marks the 150th anniversary of Confederation, this program is intended to
manifest a vision of the possibilities for networked culture to bridge cultural and
geographical barriers and create a space of connection and productive collision.

We pay artist fees that meet or exceed CARFAC guidelines.

OPEN CALL FOR NEW MAJOR VISUAL ART PERFORMANCES 2018–2020

Lilith Performance Studio is now welcoming visual artists to apply to Lilith Commissions with a proposal of a new major performance work, which will be realized in Malmö, Sweden, during 2018-2020. Lilith Performance Studio is a non-profit arts organization and an independent arena for visual art performance. The Studio initiates new exceptional visual art performances by inviting visual artists from around the world, some of whom have never worked live before.

Each year, selected artists are given the unique opportunity to realize and present a new large-scale performance on site in the studio in Malmö or elsewhere in the city, in close collaboration with the studio. The invited artists get a great chance to explore their own artistic expression and to work in a larger scale including all aspects in creating a new art work. Lilith selects artists with a distinctively individual artistic mode of expression and integrity when it comes to idea as well as method, artists that also share an interest in exploring their own work in relation to the studio as an experimental site. The artists are encouraged to expand their artistic vision through the use of live performance, resulting in unique productions.

During a 4-8 weeks long production period in Malmo the artists are given the opportunity to focus on all the parts of a live piece: site, time, staging, participants and audience. The selected artists to Lilith’s Commission program will receive significant financial and production support to experiment and realize innovative new works, in close collaboration with the studio from conceptualization to presentation. Lilith Commission will include a budget for production, research and development, artist fee, accommodation and travel expenses. Proposals should be new, innovative large-scale works, which respond to the idea of the studio as an experimental site, and the wish to expand the artistic vision. Applicants will be judged on the groundbreaking nature of their idea and its potential for realization.

Who can apply? Artist from all over the world who already use live elements in their work and those who are experimenting with performance for the first time are welcome to apply. We accept applications from emerging, mid-career and established artists working in the visual art field.

Convocatoria abierta a proyectos para desarrollar en la fachada digital y la escalera luminosa

Hemos abierto una convocatoria para la selección de cinco proyectos pensados para alguna de las dos infraestructuras digitales programables de Medialab-Prado: la fachada digital y la escalera luminosa « la Cosa » que se desarrollarán de marzo a octubre de 2017.

Los  proyectos seleccionados contarán con la asesoría de Sergio Galán, Carles Gutiérrez y Eduardo Moriana, y la colaboración de las personas interesadas en sumarse a los grupo de trabajo.

Medialab-Prado cuenta con estas dos particulares « pantallas », que además de su forma especial y su característica baja resolución, están situadas en espacios públicos y de tránsito.

Buscamos proyectos que bajo el paraguas de lo lúdico, incorporen mecánicas de accíon colectiva. Desde adaptaciones de videojuegos clásicos, a juegos tradicionales « aumentados », instalaciones que miran al juego desde el mundo del arte, propuestas que hackeen la noción de « juego en la calle », propuestas alrededor de la relación entre infancia, juego y espacio público,  o proyectos de « gamificación » de procesos participativos ciudadanos.

El plazo para enviar proyectos finaliza el 12 de febrero.

Los resultados se conocerán el 20 febrero y posteriormente se abrirá el plazo para la inscripción de colaboradores interesados en participar en los proyectos que hayan sido seleccionados.

STARTS Prize 2017

20,000 euros await the winners of the STARTS Prize 2017. Appointed by the European Commission, Ars Electronica in cooperation with BOZAR and Waag Society is launching an international prize to select the most pioneering collaborations and results in the field of creativity and innovation at the crossings of science and technology with the arts.

Entries Are Now Being Accepted

This is an open call for entries in conjunction with an initiative launched by the European Commission: STARTS. The name stands for innovation at the nexus of Science, Technology and the ARTS.

Two prizes – €20,000 each – will be bestowed this year:One for artistic exploration and projects in which the artistic approach has significant potential to influence or change the way technology is deployed, developed or perceived, and

One for innovative cooperative ventures teaming up industry/technology and art (and cultural & creative sectors in general) in ways that open up new paths for innovation.

This competition specifically seeks:Trailblazing forms of collaboration and projects essentially characterized by both technology and art; strictly artistically or strictly technologically oriented projects are not what STARTS is looking for.
Any and all artistic works and practices having to do with innovation in the areas of technology, business and/or society. This competition is not limited to a particular genre such as media art and digital art.

All forms of technological and scientific research that are inspired by art or in which artists are integrated as catalysts of new ways of seeing things. This includes but is not limited to information & communications technology.
Artists or artists’ collectives, creative professionals, researchers and companies throughout the world. This competition is not limited to citizens of EU-member states.

How does one inhabit emptiness? There is a tension and struggle between the will of the space in preserving its void and the will of the forces that wish to occupy it. This conflict became the subject matter of conversation between the Director of EMST (National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens), Katerina Koskina, and curator Lanfranco Aceti after they shared their concerns for the realization of any exhibition starting from zero. These concerns are only magnified in the case of the opening of a new museum, as is the current situation of the EMST.

empty pr(oe)mises is a project conceived and curated by Lanfranco Aceti and Katerina Koskina for which artists are invited to visualize and localize the struggle between the promise of a future idea and the process of realization in the empty premise—the temporary exhibition space of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST). Details on the call for submissions, the curatorial statement and the exhibition space can be found here.

Artworks « in fieri » will be selected for an online exhibition with the Museum of Contemporary Cuts (MoCC) by a committee consisting of Lanfranco Aceti, Bart De Baere, Katerina Koskina, Barbara London and Monika Szewczyk. The art projects will also be considered for future physical exhibitions at EMST. The most exceptional project proposals will be included in a highly illustrated catalogue published by the Leonardo Electronic Almanac – MIT Press.

In the Hole Residency

Have you always wanted the intensity of a day or 2 (or 3) in a large earthen hole with one other person?

In the Hole is a short-term residency located in an earthen hole on Treaty 6 territory in rural Saskatchewan, Canada. Each resident will spend 6 hours each day in this hole as a participant in this residency. Residents can come for one day up to a maximum of 3 consecutive days. There will be one person at a time at the Residency.

This residency coincides with a confirmed exhibition at PAVED Arts Saskatoon (424 20th St W, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0X4, running from May 5 – June 17, 2017). Live video and audio streaming from the hole will be presented in the gallery in the city of Saskatoon 60 Km away for the duration of each residency day. Each participant in this residency will spend these 6 hours each day in the hole with the artist/organizer Linda Duvall and a video camera.

Funding is available to each resident in the amount of $50.00 per day for up to 3 days. In addition each participant will be provided with a food budget of $25.00 each day.

Each participant must find their own way to Saskatoon. Once you arrive in Saskatoon, we will provide free transportation to and from the site. Also included is accommodation in the form of single bedrooms and kitchen for cooking in a shared cottage near the site of the hole. You will be responsible for purchasing supplies and preparing your own food while in residence. If you wish to stay longer in Saskatoon, you will need to find your own accommodation there.

Information about the Site of the Residency

This 6 foot-deep hole was dug in 2012, with a 5-foot walkway circling a central mound of earth. This hole has been hollowed out of thick prairie grassland with roots dangling overhead. Since then this space has been subject to ongoing weather events like rain, snow, hail and wind. Various transformations have occurred due to gopher and swallow incursions, and larger animals like deer, foxes, skunks and coyotes that discovered this sheltered space.

A space such as this hole can be approached from the perspective of the Anthropocene and ecology, spirituality and burials, secrecy or revelations, history and agriculture, and metaphor and symbol. This land is especially significant in terms of the history of Saskatchewan since there is no evidence that it has ever been tilled.

 

Content of time / Information about the Residency

The premise of this residency is that new knowledge comes from the concentrated interaction of people with varying knowledge bases and perspectives. This hole in the ground is a possible site for conversation, contemplation, making sounds, reading out loud, or being silent. This is also about duration, about spending extended blocks of time surrounded by earth and sky, and one other person. This residency is open to anyone with an interest in exploring this experience regardless of age, artistic, educational or cultural background. Accessibility can be discussed.

This immersive experience provides an alternative model for participating in a residency. In this model the organizer of the residency is an active contributor with the participant in the entire process. In the Hole provides a context for looking directly at collaboration within an experiential perspective.

Residencies at WSW

Residency grants provide artists with a weekly stipend, materials budget, and travel reimbursement, in addition to on-campus housing and 24/7 studio access. Artists can also receive technical advice and training on new equipment, techniques, and materials.

Workspace residencies provide artists with the gift of time, an uninterrupted period to live and work away from the stresses of daily life. For these opportunities, artists pay a subsidized studio rate for each week of their residency, plus the cost of materials, in exchange for on-campus housing and 24/7 studio access. Residents receive a thorough studio orientation, but should be able to work independently in their chosen discipline.

Artist Residencies

The White Water Gallery accepts proposals for “micro” residencies from 1 -3 weeks in length. These residencies are open to Canadian and International artists or groups interested in engaging our Northern Ontario community. Artist fees and travel are negotiated on a case by case basis and special funding may need to be secured in order to accommodate some projects.

Artists interested in applying for a micro-residency are asked to submit a detailed proposal to the White Water Gallery’s Programming Committee. Priority will be given to proposals that compliment the Gallery’s mandate and involve partnerships and collaboration through art creation, incubators, workshops and research.

Atelier Topaz – résidence 
Opasatika, Ontario, Canada

Le lieu
Situés au cœur de la forêt boréale, les Ateliers Topaz sont à la fois un lieu de retraite et un centre de création pour artistes, toutes disciplines confondues. L’endroit parfait pour la réflexion, l’évasion. Le groupement d’édifices fait 900 mètres carrés et repose sur 14 hectares face à la route Transcanadienne. Il donne sur un étang de deux hectares. Topaz c’est la « Route 66 » dans le nord de l’Ontario. L’endroit, modeste et nostalgique, rappelle aussi les grandes épopées de la colonisation francophone de l’Ontario. Ces studios de création ou cette résidence d’artistes, endroit idéal pour les arts visuels, sont situés au centre du Canada, à mi-chemin entre l’Atlantique et le Pacifique, là où les étoiles deviennent les topazes de la nuit.

Ce qu’on offre
D’abord l’espace et, l’espace de travail déterminés selon les besoins de l’artiste. Les espaces polyvalents permettent d’y faire de la peinture, de la sculpture, de l’installation, etc. L’atelier de menuiserie, le Bar à clou, est équipé des outils de base. Un magasin d’objets trouvés est disponible autant pour l’inspiration que pour l’utilisation dans une œuvre. Le peintre apporte ses pinceaux, le musicien son instrument et l’écrivain son ordi.

Les personnes qui séjournent aux Ateliers Topaz jouissent de l’accès à la cuisine et sont responsables de préparer leurs repas. Toutefois Laurent peut aussi leur cuisiner de petits plats typiquement canadiens-français aux besoins ou aux désirs. 

Topaz possède deux suites avec lit double et une chambre avec lit simple. Chacune possède sa salle de toilette avec douche. Ces installations évoquent admirablement le style des années 1960. 

Pour la baignade, le Lac des Cœurs se situe à deux kilomètres à l’est. Pour le canotage ou la pèche, la rivière Opasatika est deux kilomètres à l’ouest. Pour se déplacer, il y a de vieux vélos ou la marche. Pour un frais très raisonnable, votre hôte peut aussi vous conduire ou organiser un déplacement vers Kapuskasing à l’est ou vers Hearst à l’ouest. 

Les matériaux d’artistes ne sont pas disponibles dans la région. Il est donc important de faire vos achats avant votre séjour, à moins que vous travailliez avec des matériaux que l’on peut se procurer dans des magasins ordinaires ou même en nature.

Call to Canadian Artists :: Co-located & Dispatch Emergency Operations CentreThe Co-Located Dispatch and Emergency Operations Centre (CD-EOC) public art competition, open to professional artists or artist teams residing in Canada, is held in accordance with the City of Edmonton policy « Percent for Art to Provide and Encourage Art in Public Areas » (C458C).

The Edmonton Arts Council Public Art Program, on behalf of the City of Edmonton, is seeking a professional artist or artist team to work creatively with the CD-EOC building team to explore the building scrim material as an art medium.

Artists will have the opportunity to work with the material across the whole scale of the building.

The successful artist will be engaged through an interview process, and will work alongside the design team to prepare concepts prior to tender documents being completed in June 2017.

The successful artist will explore the possibilities of the scrim material both conceptually and imaginatively.

Pre-exisitng images or straightforward graphic design will not be accepted.

Call to Canadian Artists :: Art Glass Transit Shelter Public Art Project (4 Calls)

The Art Glass Transit Shelters  public art competition(s) is open to professional artists residing in Canada and is held in accordance with the City of Edmonton policy « Percent for Art to Provide and Encourage Art in Public Areas » (C458C).

The Edmonton Arts Council has released four (4) separate Calls to Artists for Neighbourhood Stops along the Valley Line LRT. The stops are located; Downtown Edmonton (102 Street), Strathearn, Holyrood, and Bonnie Doon.

The artist(s) or artist team will undertake community engagement to create an artistic concept that reflects the cultural and historic identity of this area. The art will be translated into permanent art glass that can be integrated into its location.

Artists may apply for one or multiple calls, and should provide a distinct submission package for each call in separate emails. Submit Visual Documentation only once if it is exactly the same for each submission, and indicate so in your email.

PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITY
The City of Toronto invites professional indigenous artists, or indigenous artist−lead teams, to submit Expressions of Interest to create a comprehensive public art project in a new City park named for Anishinabe leader Dr. Lillian McGregor. The artworks will be integrated into the park design, by DuToit, Allsop Hillier (DTAH). Artists are asked to recognise regional indigenous histories and cultures, and consider themes important to Dr. McGregor—Health, Spirituality and Language.

PROJECT OVERVIEW, PLANS AND LOCATION
With a 60-storey condominium tower along its eastern edge, the park is bordered by Wellesley St. W to the north, Breadalbane St. to the south and St. Luke Ln to the east. Due to its size and proximity to transit corridors and high-density development, the proposed park is intended to serve local residents, those who work in the area, and visitors to the neighbourhood.

Initial designs for the park include plantings and design elements that reflect Dr. McGregor’s life and interests — plaques promoting indigenous culture, birch trees and medicinal plant beds, and a community fire pit for gatherings and ceremonies are being considered.

Arts & Culture Services is working with Parks, Forestry & Recreation, DTAH, the Ward 27 Councillor’s Office, community partners and Dr. McGregor’s family on the park’s development. The park will be constructed in 2018-19.

ABOUT DR. LILLIAN McGREGOR
Dr. Lillian McGregor (1924-2012), of Whitefish River First Nation, was a dedicated nurse and community leader who spent most of her life in Toronto. She was instrumental in the Friendship Centre Movement, a founding member of the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, and a board member of the Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, the Aboriginal Advisory Council, Nishnawbe Homes, and Ontario’s Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Strategy.

Dr. McGregor was the first indigenous woman to be awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Toronto and was the University’s first Elder In Residence. She was widely recognized for her work in promoting indigenous culture and education and was awarded the City of Toronto Civic Award, National Aboriginal Achievement Lifetime Award and Order of Ontario for her outstanding work nationally and locally.

ARTWORK LOCATIONS
The centre of the park, at the intersection of the pathways, is the primary site for a public artwork. Secondary locations will be identified, which could include 2D and 3D artworks.

ARTIST ELIGIBILTY
This EOI is open to indigenous professional artists and indigenous artist-lead teams residing in Canada.

As per the Canada Council’s guidelines, a professional artist is defined as someone who:

has specialized artistic training (not necessarily in academic institutions)
is recognized as a professional by his or her peers (artists working in the same artistic tradition),
has a history of public exhibitions,
has produced an independent body of work.

SELECTION COMMITTEE
The public art concept for the park will be selected by a specially-convened independent Selection Committee, made up of visual-arts professionals, community representatives and a member of Dr. McGregor’s family.

TIMELINE
The competition will take place between January 24th and June 30th, 2017.

SELECTION PROCESS
This is a two-stage competition.

Stage One
The selection committee will review all complete submissions and will select five (5) artists or artist-lead teams to develop proposals. The artists will be selected based on artistic excellence and perceived ability to create an artwork for this site.

Stage Two
The shortlisted artists will be paid a fee to develop a proposal based on a Terms of Reference provided by Arts & Culture Services, and a site visit with the design team. Detailed proposals are not required. The shortlisted artists will present their vision for the site in an interview with the Selection Committee. The Selection Committee will choose a finalist whose past work and experience best suits the scope of this project, and who has demonstrated an ability to realize a public artwork appropriate to the park.

EOI SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The Selection Committee will only review COMPLETED SUBMISSIONS. Please follow the requirements below. Teams should submit one package that includes materials and CVs from each team member.

The City of Toronto invites artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in StreetARToronto’s Underpass Program, StART UP.

StART UP will endeavor to provide opportunities for artists to create works of art that contribute to the program mandate to make our City’s underpasses safe, walkable and beautiful. This project is being implemented by StreetARToronto (StART), part of the Public Realm Section of the City of Toronto’s Transportation Services Division.

The goal of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to obtain a roster of artists who will be eligible to participate in StART UP projects.

Background:

This EOI for the 2017 StART UP Artist Roster is part of a comprehensive program to enhance and transform selected City underpasses with new and enhanced lighting, improved sidewalks and walking conditions, pigeon proofing, removal of weeds and the installation of mural or street art. StART UP aims to transform 5 to 8 underpasses per year, with the mural or street art installation being the final component of the program. Qualified artists will be selected to be part of the StART UP Artist Roster, and the commission for each underpass will be awarded following a two-stage selection process outlined in the REOI (see link below).

Permanent Public Art Work
LAWRENCE HEIGHTS DEVELOPMENT PHASE 1 OPPORTUNITY

PROJECT PROFILE

The current Lawrence Heights redevelopment project is part of a new wave of change taking place in Toronto, with the central suburbs assuming exciting new roles based on changing demands, and the absorption of new urban density. Slated to take place over the next two decades, the revitalization will transform the 100-acre site into a vibrant mixed-income, mixed-use neighbourhood just north of Toronto’s downtown core.

Phase 1 of the redevelopment introduces new urban forms to the area including pedestrian mews, laneways, urban streets and blocks, and linear parks to either side of the Allen Expressway. Each element is designed to reflect a new sensibility for the area that is fundamentally urban and social – geared towards enhanced physical & social connectivity, promoting mixed uses of space, modes of transportation, and wealth of choice for movement.

PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITY

Heights Development Inc. is calling for socially engaged artists and artist teams with proven track records and ongoing practices of engaging diverse communities to submit their Expressions of Interest. They will be commissioned to produce Public Art that enhances the quality of the public realm in Lawrence Heights, while facilitating the expression of cultural diversity and community pride. The commissioned Public Art will be of durable materials and construction, and subject to the maintenance requirements of public artwork on city property. It will be carefully sited to enhance important views and announce the first new gateway into a revitalized neighbourhood.

The budget for this project is approximately $641,000. This will include all artists’ fees, costs of fabrication, costs of installation, any associated engineering, permits and project development, as well as any site-specific costs. A portion of this budget, up to 5%, should be dedicated to resident engagement, which will be defined as a fundamental part of the successful artist’s or team’s artistic process. Artists will be compensated for community engagement and outreach activities.

SITES

Primary Site (A1): Acting as a gateway or trailhead to the new redevelopment 1B, this city-owned ‘east greenway’ begins at the south side of Ranee Avenue adjacent the Allen Expressway underpass and Yorkdale Subway Station entrance. Running south from the trailhead, a new 56m long concrete retaining wall will be built to hold back the load-bearing earth that stabilizes the Allen, while creating a barrier-free ramping entrance into the new public multipurpose trail. This pathway will eventually be used by pedestrians and cyclists connecting to Lawrence Ave W. and beyond.

Secondary Site (A2) – The pedestrian underpass on the north and south sides of the Ranee Ave right of way, under the Allen Expressway, is the alternative location for the Public Art work. The artist(s) may propose to utilize walls, columns, sidewalk, and/or soffit as part of the proposal, but cannot restrict visibility to either of the TTC entrances.

A1+A2 – The artist may choose to work exclusively in either site, or design a work that connects both sites.

* As sites are on public property, proposals will be subject to technical review by Parks, Forestry, and Recreation and any other associated City of Toronto departments.

TWO-STAGE COMPETITION

Professional artists/teams will be selected through a two-stage adjudication process.

As per the Canada Council’s guidelines, a professional artist is defined as someone who:

  • has specialized artistic training (not necessarily in academic institutions)
  • is recognized as a professional by his or her peers (artists working in the same artistic tradition)
  • has a history of public exhibitions
  • has produced an independent body of work

Stage 1: February-March 2017 – The Jury will review submissions and a short list of 5 of artists/artist teams will be selected to develop their proposals. Selection will be based on artists’ track record of producing innovative socially engaged public art and large-scale projects; interdisciplinary experience working with landscape architects / engineers; demonstrated understanding of socio/cultural conditions of community housing.

Stage 2: March-September 2017 – The short-listed artists will develop a project proposal based on a Terms of Reference document provided to them. They will develop their projects over a period of three months, which will include extensive outreach and development with the Lawrence Heights community. There will be community outreach activities, and an exhibition of final proposals in Lawrence Heights. A budget will be provided to artists and teams to carry out work during Stage 2.

The contract will be awarded in Fall 2017.

SUBMISSIONS

For this first stage of the Lawrence Heights Public Art Opportunity 1 competition, we are inviting artists, teams and collectives to respond to this Call by submitting the following:

  1. Artist(s) statement indicating interest in the opportunity and experience (1 page max);
  2. Detailed Curriculum Vitae outlining past experience carrying out large scale, complex, community engaged projects on public sites;
  3. 10 digital images (jpeg) of the artist’s or team’s recent and relevant work, or video documentation (no longer than 5 minutes) of past projects or media work; or a combination of 5 images and 3 minutes of video documentation or media work.
  4. For each sample of work, please provide a contextual statement (25-30 words) that details: artist(s) name, title, date, medium, dimensions. Please be sure the number on the list matches the number of the jpeg image.

Applicants are asked to demonstrate:

  • A track record of producing innovative socially engaged public art;

apexart announces its 10th annual Franchise Exhibition Program open call: an opportunity to propose and produce an exhibition that takes place anywhere in the world except New York City. No prior curatorial experience is necessary and anyone can apply.

The submission process
Proposals should describe focused, idea-driven, and original group exhibitions, cannot exceed 500 words, and must be written in English. No biographical information, CVs, links, or images will be accepted. Projects are judged by the strength of their ideas and the organizer’s ability to communicate them, not by connections or past accomplishments.

The selection process
An international jury of up to 200 individuals from a wide variety of professional backgrounds rates the proposals. Submissions are made anonymous and jurors assign their scores independently online over the course of a month. Rather than convene a small panel to review hundreds of ideas, we use a system of crowd-sourcing wherein many jurors review a random subset of proposals, with each proposal generally receiving more than 30 ratings.

The organizers of the four highest-ranked proposals receive an exhibition budget of up to 6,000 USD, a location rental budget of up to 2,000 USD, an honorarium of 2,000 USD for organizing the exhibition and writing an accompanying essay, and administrative support and involvement necessary to present their proposals as apexart Franchise Exhibitions.

apexart is not a funding organization; these exhibitions are part of apexart’s regular programming. Organizers are expected and challenged to work within the funding provided to produce a small, focused, and noteworthy exhibition.

Avec une surface de plus de 7000 m2, l’école offre de vastes espaces de travail pour les étudiant(e)s et de nombreux ateliers techniques dotés d’équipements importants constamment modernisés et renouvelés.

L’école, habilitée à délivrer le grade Master au diplôme national supérieur d’expression plastique, est conçue pour favoriser l’inventivité et la créativité, qui n’adviennent que si les moments d’échanges, de rencontres et de réflexions sont nombreux : elle est un lieu généreux et ouvert sur l’extérieur, favorisant les rencontres et les croisements artistiques. Son enseignement propose un contexte d’études et de recherches dont les méthodes sont toujours à réinventer pour inciter à la réflexion, aiguiser la curiosité, apprendre à être disponible, multiplier les discussions, articuler la mise en pratique avec les analyses critiques.

La galerie La Box est l’un des principaux outils pédagogiques de l’Ensa. Tous les ans, elle initie des actions en lien avec les enseignements de l’école en produisant une dizaine d’expositions d’artistes français ou étrangers.
