L’Association des groupes en arts visuels francophones (AGAVF) présente les événements de ses quinze centres d’artistes et galeries membres à travers le pays et compile les appels de dossiers en arts visuels, arts médiatiques, performance, art public qui s’adressent principalement aux artistes et parfois aux commissaires.

Projet
Cartel est un projet d’art public qui participe à l’essor culturel et identitaire de Laval. En 2015, les célébrations du 50e anniversaire de la ville seront l’occasion de présenter 6 nouvelles œuvres artistiques inscrites dans le territoire, faisant bouger les lignes d’horizon et ouvrant le paysage quotidien à l’art actuel. Cartel s’engage à produire et à présenter des productions artistiques qui seront sources d’émotions, de rencontres et de réflexions pour tous. Dans les différents secteurs de la ville investis seront exposées des œuvres plurielles, aptes à représenter la diversité des pratiques artistiques con- temporaines. Verticale — centre d’artistes est l’organisme qui assure la réalisation de ce projet, à l’invitation de la Corporation des célébrations du 50e à Laval.
Nature des œuvres et implication de l’artiste
Cartel recherche des projets d’art actuel qui s’inscriront de manière pertinente dans le paysage urbain et socioculturel environnant différents espaces publics lavallois, comme des arénas, des édicules de parc, des centres communautaires, etc.
Les propositions artistiques choisies pourront être de différentes natures et de différents formats, mais elles devront adhérer à la surface murale des bâtiments (fresques peintes, photographies sur support divers, installations en bas-relief, emballage/ habillage, etc.) et respecter la nature des revêtements extérieurs de ceux-ci (briques, tôle, bois, acier, etc.).

3 œuvres murales peintes. Pérennité : 3 ans min. Budget : 10 000 $ ch.
Catégorie 2
2 œuvres, médium variable. Pérennité : 5 à 7 ans. Budget : 20 000 $ ch.
Catégorie 3
1 œuvre, médium variable. Pérennité : 7 ans et plus. Budget : 35 000 $
Les budgets comprennent toutes les dépenses incluses dans la réalisation du projet (honoraires des artistes et droits d’auteur; frais de production des plans au besoin (sauf catégorie 1), devis et estimations des coûts de production de l’œuvre; soutien technique; coûts des matériaux et des services requis pour la conception, la réalisation et l’installation de l’œuvre; transport, déplacement, et sécurisation de l’œuvre pendant son installation; assurances; frais d’ingénieurs au besoin (sauf catégorie 1), etc.
Un budget supplémentaire est prévu pour la conception et la réalisation d’ateliers de médiation culturelle.

Être artiste professionnel
Être disponible durant la période couverte par le projet (de mai à septembre 2015) pour la production et l’installation de l’œuvre sur le site.
Note : Les collaborations et les collectifs sont admis.

Le Centre d’artistes Voix Visuelle situé depuis 2007 dans le secteur Vanier à Ottawa, souhaite mettre en lumière les talents de jeunes créateurs contemporains d’Ottawa. Le projet Voix Jeunes Talents invite les jeunes artistes de 15 -35 ans à créer une œuvre selon le thème Génération Numérique. Les artistes choisis exposeront leurs travaux au sein de la galerie le temps d’une soirée festive le 18 juin. Trois œuvres seront sélectionnées par un jury et leurs créateurs se verront remettre un prix. Alors que vous soyez peintre, photographe, graphiste, vidéaste ou encore artistes en art médiatique, Voix Visuelle vous ouvre ses portes pour exposer votre créativité et mettre en exergue le dynamisme et l’existence d’une force jeune créative au sein de notre région.

La Maison des artistes – Appel aux artistes: Hommage à Réal Bérard

Nous préparons une exposition qui rend hommage à Réal Bérard. L’exposition inclut des oeuvres de Réal Bérard, mais nous voulons aussi exposer des oeuvres d’artistes manitobains inspirées par Réal Bérard. C’est une façon de reconnaître les contributions d’un grand artiste manitobain… qui célébrera son 80e anniversaire de naissance prochainement (shhhhh).
À ce stade nous sollicitons des artistes qui présenteront une ou des oeuvres qui rendent hommage Réal Bérard. Tout est permis! Nous cherchons à identifier des artistes souhaitant faire partie du projet. L’exposition sera en août 2015. Donc, le printemps 2015 sera période de création et d’identification d’œuvres et d’artistes qui se cadrent au projet.

APPEL DE PROJETS D’EXPOSITION pour la saison d’exposition 2016
L’École d’art d’Ottawa (EAO) accepte dès maintenant les soumissions de projets d’exposition pour la saison d’exposition 2016. Les œuvres en cours ou envisagées peuvent être soumises tant pour la galerie du campus du marché By que pour la galerie du campus d’Orléans. L’appel est ouvert à tous les artistes; toutes les techniques artistiques sont admissibles. Les projets d’exposition collective sont aussi acceptés.
Les artistes doivent soumettre un seul projet et indiquer dans laquelle des galeries ils désirent présenter leur exposition (marché By ou Orléans). Une seule proposition d’exposition peut être déposée pour une soumission aux deux campus. Folie/Culture propose à tous — artistes professionnels ou amateurs, membres, proches et intervenants du milieu social — de s’investir dans une expérience de réflexion particulière : réaliser une vidéo d’une minute sur le thème de La normalité ostentatoire.
La Minute vidéo Folie/Culture entame cette année une réflexion sur la thématique La normalité ostentatoire. Puisque la normalité est par définition drabe, comment la rendre ostentatoire ? La normalité ostentatoire se présente comme une ouverture sur les espaces limites : sexualité, comportements hideux, fusion culturelle, ruptures de toutes sortes. Il s’agit de proposer des formes inouïes comme des choses banales et usuelles, bref, de rendre ostentatoire ce qui est par ailleurs reclus et sans éclat. À la modestie craintive des gênés, nous opposons la jubilation ostentatoire de nos écarts de conduite. Il n’y a plus rien dans le placard.
Les Minutes vidéo sélectionnées seront projetées à l’occasion d’une soirée publique dans le cadre de la programmation 2015-2016.

NUIT ROSE (Play/Space)
– Call For Expressions of Interest –
Artists, Performers, Curators, Cultural Organizations and Community Businesses
The Throbbing Rose Collective is holding an open call for proposals from artists, art collectives, curators and cultural organizations to participate in NUIT ROSE 2015, a queer-focused contemporary art and performance festival. After a great debut at last year’s WorldPride celebrations, Nuit Rose returns for a second year on Saturday, June 20, 2015, with the theme Play/Space, as an official event of Toronto’s Pride Festival.
NUIT ROSE offers a space for Canadian queer artists and international artists to showcase their work. This celebration of LGBTQ culture will engage local audiences and visitors from around the world with site-specific exhibitions, installations and performances. Toronto is home to vast and diverse LGBTQ communities. We strongly encourage artists and organizations that reflect this diversity to apply.
Deadline Tuesday March 31, 2015
We encourage submissions from artists, performers, curators, cultural organizations and community businesses interested in presenting indoor and outdoor projects for NUIT ROSE (Play/Space). Artists may submit work in various media, including but not limited to: two dimensional work, sculpture, installation, screen based & new media, performance based works and multi-media.
The Throbbing Rose Collective will do its utmost to accommodate as many proposals as possible, given the resources of the festival. A jury of local art specialists will evaluate the proposals and make recommendations for the final selection of works to be included in the festival. The selected Feature Artists will receive fees based upon current CARFAC rates, in addition to exhibition and/or performance space in key venues. Those selected to present as Independent Artists are eligible for exhibition assistance and promotional support. The jury may also use its discretion to award commissions to specific projects. Organizations are welcome to apply for inclusion with their own projects.
We invite local, national and international artists, artist teams, businesses and cultural organizations to respond to this Call for Expression of Interest by submitting the following:
One Page Proposal. Please describe your project and include your zone preference, if you have a venue or location available, or three suggested locations where your project could be realized.
Artist Statement outlining interest in project, relevant experience and general artistic approach (in text formats .doc or .pdf)

Background
Nuit Rose is a community-based, cultural festival first conceived as part of WorldPride 2014. The multi-venue event fosters the work of Canadian and international visual and performance artists. The aim of NUIT ROSE is to enhance the scope of cultural programming of Pride Toronto by promoting collaborative relationships between community partners, artists and the public. Like the highly successful inaugural edition, NUIT ROSE (Play/Space) will be a visually stunning multi-venue event designed to commemorate LGBTQ histories, spaces and places. This year, NUIT ROSE has joined forces with Pride Toronto to present additional projects in new venues with added dates during Pride Week 2015.
Event Locations: Two Zones
The festival will take place in two Toronto neighbourhoods: West Queen West and the Church-Wellesley Village, which collectively have a rich queer-activist, visual art and cultural history. NUIT ROSE (Play/Space) is yet another opportunity for the two communities to come together to showcase the work of artists of diverse backgrounds, orientations and identifications.
EAST ZONE: CHURCH-WELLESLEY VILLAGE
The Church-Wellesley Village is one of the most vibrant, colourful and unique neighbourhoods in Canada. It is the traditional site of Toronto’s Pride Week, the city’s largest festival and Canada’s largest LGBTTIQQ2SA event. The neighbourhood is the traditional home of Canada’s LGBTQ community, with such notable organizations as The 519 Church Street Community Centre, the Canadian Lesbian & Gay Archives and the Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.
WEST ZONE: QUEEN STREET WEST
West Queen West is the largest hub for visual art in Canada, and is known to foster new and emerging talent and ideas. It is the home of the historic Gladstone Hotel, the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, Artscape Youngplace, the Theatre Centre and many important nationally and internationally recognized art galleries. It is also a gathering point for some of Toronto’s most innovative thinkers and creative art makers.

Call for Local, National, International Experimental Audio Artists

Sounds Like Festival Dates: July 23 to 25, 2015.
Sounds Like invites local, national and international audio artists to submit proposals for the latest iteration of Saskatchewan’s only audio art festival. We are seeking submissions for audio works that explore ideas around LOCATIONS AND BORDERS. We are looking for innovative approaches to this theme with possible inclusions of site-specific installations, live performances, video projection and/or sculptural components. Venues include the AKA/Paved multipurpose Event Space, gallery spaces and/or the second story outdoor catwalk, as well as ad hoc off-site spaces at the discretion of the programming committee.
Selections for the festival are juried by a selection of contemporary audio artists and curators, rotating annually.

About
Sounds Like is an annual audio art festival based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Started in 2011 by AKA artist-run, it quickly expanded to a three-fold partnership between PAVED Arts, a Saskatoon media based artist-run gallery and production centre and Holophon, a non-profit organization that seeks to unite communities using sound as an artistic medium. Past iterations have also included a partnership with Soundasaurus (Calgary, AB). SL V is a partnership between AKA artist-run, PAVED arts and Ed Video Media Artist-Run with Holophon as a programming collaborator.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MARCH 31st, 2015
This is a special call geared towards artists, curators, researchers, and
writers for expressions of interest for the Untitled Contemporary Art Main
Space September 2015 program opening.
Untitled Art Society (UAS) is a not-for profit artist-run centre with the
purpose of supporting emerging art and ideas, and encouraging artistic
endeavors that foster and engage in experimentation, innovation, and
critical discourse.
With the intention of stimulating new and emerging contemporary art
practices, this call for expressions of interest will be left largely open
to the interpretation of applicants.
Applicants are encouraged to consider interdisciplinary and experimental
methods as well as how their ideas might stimulate dialogue and contribute
to contemporary debate and current events. Applicants are welcome to
include projects that are ongoing or that include multiple elements, such
as lectures, workshops, performances, etc.

In our times, the notion of public space appears to be one of the most contradictory concepts. With the rise of network and communication technologies, our experience of public space has changed. Public space is not only characterised by physical space and architecture but also by networks and knowledge distribution.
While public space is mainly being interpreted through urban planning, digital public space is organised through IP locations, URLs and protocols. Their cartographies, as distinct as they may seem, are both informed by network dynamics that add new layers of interpretation. Squares, parks, streets and the Internet are all potential public spaces that are activated through participation and engagement in order to acquire meaning.
The multiple interconnected spaces within which we act have redefined and affected our perception of everyday life as well as our social and cultural imaginaries. On the other hand, real-time data circulation and information exchange have created new patterns of communication allowing communities to surpass their localities and explore new modes of engagement and collaboration.
However, inhabiting at the same time a plethora of spaces that are potentially public the question that arises is: how open and free are these spaces? Have the visions regarding open access to public space and eventually public data been fulfilled?
Through this call, the festival invites proposals to explore the notion of “public” both in the digital and physical space.

Sound Development City 2015 – Call for Projects
We are very happy to launch the call for projects for Sound Development City Artist Expedition 2015! This call is open to artists working in all disciplines.
The expedition cities will be Belgrade and Athens.
The expedition will take place from September 9 – 27, 2015.

Sound Development City is looking for independent and dedicated project proposals and work theses that are to be tested and put into practice during a three-week expedition to Belgrade and Athens.
We are interested in interventions, installations, performances, experiments, moving images, artistic research projects and concepts which benefit from being on the road, and probe urban environments as sites of both playfulness and social involvement. The projects should be research-based and developed towards this open horizon.
Artists working in all disciplines can apply through the open call process. The key requirements are curiosity, openness to experimentation, process-oriented work, and adventurousness. We also welcome an inter-disciplinary approach and readiness to collaborate. There is no age limit.
An international jury of five will select about ten participants from the submitted applications. The selection criteria are artistic quality, originality and feasibility of realizing the proposed project.

Amsterdam Light Festival invites artists, designers, engineers and architects to submit ideas for art works to be staged at the festival’s 2015–2016 edition. The fourth edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival will take place in the city centre of Amsterdam from 26 November 2015 till 31st January 2016. The deadline for submissions is 25 of March.

Theme: Friendship
This edition of the festival, we celebrate humanity, and light as a universal language to express ourselves. The festival’s theme this year is friendship. You can interpret this theme anyway you like. During the period of the Amsterdam Light Festival, Amsterdam is the stage of the European Summits as a result of The Netherlands holding presidency of the European Union. We are particularly interested in art works that express an understanding of the importance of friendships across Europe, of the way the continent has become more and more united over the past 50 years and how the friendship that has been established within the European Union translates into the continent’s value for all individuals who live there.
The festival will again present the Water Colors boat tour and the Illuminade walking route. Water Colors is comprised of large, colourful, monumental works along the canals while the Illuminade offers a platform for talent, experimentation, interaction and mixed forms of art and digital technology.
Open to all
With the call for concepts, the festival invites anyone (also from outside Europe) to submit individual interpretations of the theme friendship. In the context of this theme we hope to reach as many artists from different nations as possible. Please help us to spread this call. Amsterdam Light Festival is a long-lasting festival, so we are looking for objects which can be maintained over the entirety of the festival/route, seven days a week.
The festival is a breeding place for new light art. So we are especially looking for new concepts which are tailored to our festival and the city.

You have to complete your submission by 25 March (24h CET). Late entries are not accepted. On 8 April, the festival will announce 70 finalists who will be asked to further detail their design and to resolve production issues. Subsequently, we are planning to announce the approximately 30 winners on 29 April. All winners will be required to visit Amsterdam for a site visit in May 2015, now scheduled for 11–13 May, the precise dates are to be announced.

Mad House – Open call 2015
Mad House is a project of performing arts, that learns by experience and keeps transforming. The Mad House first season was a month-long performing arts event at Tiivistämö, Suvilahti, Helsinki, in October, 2014. It brought under the same ceiling 130 artists from Finland and abroad, with 52 different performances and workshops. The program was made of live and performance art, installations, Think Tank discussions on the future and status of performing arts, plus a many- sided bar program. After the month we said to each other – Mad House makes sense!
Now Mad House is launching a continuous open call for all the players at the art field. The continuous call means, that you can propose program and collaboration ideas for the Mad House any time, also for the up-coming seasons. Mad House is growing, developing, and becoming real by the needs of the art field, by listening to those needs, and by planning together. The next Mad House season (2nd) will take place at Tiivistämö, Suvilahti, on 1st September-30th November, 2015. The deadline for the program proposals for the Mad House second season is 16th of March, 2015.
What do we offer?
* Technical facilities, including a technician (excluding artistic design)
* Marketing and publicity as part of Mad House public relations
* A project-specific working grant from one week till two months (depending on the project)
Furthermore, we are offering a possibility for a summer residency on 22nd June-31th July, 2015, at the Performance Center, Suvilahti, Helsinki. The residency is meant for a working group.
For its program, Mad House is looking for interesting performances and demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops
and other concepts, such as lectures and club nights. You can propose program for the Tiivistämö hall, bar, or it can be independant on space, expanding to the whole Suvilahti area.
For the program at the hall, we have three time slots: 7-13 September, 21-27 September, 16-22 November
The projects that don’t need the Tiivistämö space, can happen on other times as well. Please notice, that Mondays are days for construction, and not available for public performances. That is to say, on Mondays Mad House is closed.

The goal of the challenge is to bring together art and technology, artists with technologies, and to unleash the huge potential of mixing the creativity and perspective of artists with the nowadays powerful open hardware technologies.
NEXT THINGS 2015 – CONDUCTA pursues innovative and breakthrough ideas on the Internet of Things in the context of art and technology.
Telefonica R&D and LABoral are seeking researchers/artists/designers who are working on artistic and research projects exploring the modulation of human behavior in groups of people through new technologies, particularly ideas and techniques involving data mining and pattern recognition, machine learning, collective group behavior and wearable technologies and biometric data and similar.
Key words: Quantifed self, behavior, self-tracking, aggregate data, machine learning, wearable tracking
It is important to reflect on these frameworks and to explore the impact that the Internet of Things, and Interactions Machine to Machine (M2M) can have on the lives of people, on a scale that spans from individual to whole societies.
It will be appreciated in the proposals:
–That may be converted in manufactured objects, employed by people and societies
–Connected wirelessly to the Internet
The call is open to all creators in the space between art and technology. Basic ability to build the project on your own, with occasional support from Telefónica R&D and LABoral, is required: knowledge of open hardware platforms such as Arduino and general programming skills.
NEXT THINGS 2015 is looking for ideas that can be prototyped and built within the course of six months, based on open hardware platforms such as Arduino connected to the Internet.
The selected project will be awarded with a six-month artist fellowship, split between LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial (through Plataforma 0. Production Centre) in Gijón for two months and Telefónica R&D (Telefonica’s technology research and development arm) in Barcelona for four months. The goal of the fellowship is to enable the fellow to bring the chosen idea to life. The fellowship will start the latest, on June 1, 2015.
The artist will receive 12,000 euros gross as fees and a grant of up to 2,000 euros gross for travel, accommodation and expenses at LABoral.

Artists have had a long-standing impact on the formations, expansion, and direction of our national parks.
Today, painters continue to document national park landscapes with contemporary approaches and techniques. Writers, photographers, sculptors, musicians, composers, and other performing artists also draw upon the multifaceted quality of parks for inspiration.
These artists translate the national park’s purpose, as a place of pleasure and preservation, into images which bring others enjoyment and a deeper understanding of the parks many Americans may never visit.
Chiricahua National Monument’s Artist-In-Residence program continues this tradition.
Artist-In-Residence Program
The Artist-In-Residence program at Chiricahua National Monument offers professional writers, composers, and visual and performing artists the opportunity to pursue their artistic discipline while being surrounded by the park’s inspiring landscape. Selected artists are given free accommodations for two to four week periods. No stipend is provided.
How to Apply
Artists must submit application materials and art samples exactly as indicated on the entry form. Insufficient, or excess materials, are causes for application rejection, as is an artist’s proposed use of a work already in progress as a residency project.
The Selection Process
A panel of professionals from diverse artistic disciplines will choose two to three finalists, with an alternate. Selection is based on artistic merit, the Statement of Purpose, and appropriateness to a national park residency.

Appel à candidature : La résidence pour photographes nature humaine
Cette résidence est conçue comme une étape dans l’œuvre des photographes. Le réseau et l’implantation de l’association sur son territoire donnent aux artistes accueillis les ressources nécessaires à l’éclosion de leur travail. Le temps et le cadre de la résidence Nature Humaine offre la possibilité d’une photographie en regard avec les habitants et leur lieux de vie.
La résidence a une durée de trois mois, de mi-septembre à mi-décembre 2015. Le projet réalisé est présenté l’année suivante, sous la forme d’un livre coédité par Nature Humaine, les éditions Filigranes (Paris/Trézélan) et les éditions Anomalas (Barcelone) et d’une exposition au Moulin de la Filature. Les tirages de l’exposition enrichissent un fonds photographique conservé à l’écomusée de la Brenne.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM
Founded in 2001, the KIAC Artist in Residence Program has welcomed over 200 talented artists, musicians and filmmakers to Dawson City from all regions of Canada and around the world. The program operates year-round and accommodates two artists concurrently for residencies of four to twelve weeks in duration. Artists in Residence also facilitate outreach programs such as artist talks, open studios and workshops intended to promote interaction and professional development, and advance the understanding and appreciation of contemporary arts practices within the community.

APPEL A CANDIDATURE RESIDENCES
Chaque année depuis 1991, l’École nationale supérieure d’art de Bourges reçoit de jeunes artistes en résidence, avec le soutien financier de la Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles et du Conseil Régional du Centre. Ces résidences ont pour but de permettre à de jeunes artistes français ou étrangers de réaliser un projet de recherche personnelle en lien avec l’école, ses enseignants, ses étudiants ou tout autre partenaire extérieur.
Les candidatures sont sélectionnées par un jury composé d’un représentant de la Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles du Centre, du Conseil Régional Centre, de la Directrice du Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain Centre, de trois enseignants de l’école et du Directeur de l’école.
Les candidat(e)s retenu(e)s bénéficient d’un temps de résidence de trois mois, à fixer pendant la période scolaire.
Ils(elles) bénéficient d’une bourse de 3.000 €.
Le(la) résident(e) est logé(e) dans un atelier d’artiste d’une superficie de 100 m2, équipé d’un espace d’atelier, d’un coin cuisine, d’une chambre à coucher et d’une salle de bain en mezzanine.
Le projet de recherche et ses implications budgétaires seront remis à Chloé Nicolas un mois avant le début du séjour. Une réunion de validation se tiendra à l’arrivée du(de la) résident(e) et donnera lieu à une convention entre lui(elle) et l’école.
Le(la) résident(e) s’engage à présenter son travail sous forme de conférence au début de son séjour et à mettre en œuvre un projet de workshop avec les étudiants de l’école.
Il(elle) travaillera en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe pédagogique et plus particulièrement avec l’équipe permanente de La Box : Chloé Nicolas (responsable de La Box), Véronique Frémiot (responsable des résidences) et Manon Chavigny (assistante de régie)

Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency is a program offering artists a house in which to live and work for a period of seven weeks (May 26 – July 14th, 2015).
The houses are located minutes from the west entrance to Joshua Tree National Park.
The park is one of the most spectacular environments in the country and the unique beauty and quiet is an ideal place to create.
The residency is open to artists worldwide working in all media, including painters, photographers, writers, musicians, etc.
Selection Process:
Artists are selected to attend the residency program by the Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency Board Members. The committee reviews all applications submitted for the program. Selection is based on the merit of the artist’s work and residency proposal.
Scholarship Information:
All 2015 chosen artists will receive a scholarship/stipend to be used to deter costs of participating in the program. The residency provides studio spaces and accommodations; scholarship funds can be used toward other expenses such as art materials, transportation, food, etc. Depending on available scholarship funds, 2015 scholarships will amount to between $700- $1,000 per artist.
Studios and Accommodations:
Each artist will be assigned his or her own house in which to live and work for the length of the residency. Artists may choose to work at the JTHAR dedicated studio space- a large shared studio space divided by moveable walls depending on the artists’ needs.

Atelier Topaz – résidence Opasatika, Ontario, Canada
Le lieu
Situés au cœur de la forêt boréale, les Ateliers Topaz sont à la fois un lieu de retraite et un centre de création pour artistes, toutes disciplines confondues. L’endroit parfait pour la réflexion, l’évasion. Le groupement d’édifices fait 900 mètres carrés et repose sur 14 hectares face à la route Transcanadienne. Il donne sur un étang de deux hectares. Topaz c’est la « Route 66 » dans le nord de l’Ontario. L’endroit, modeste et nostalgique, rappelle aussi les grandes épopées de la colonisation francophone de l’Ontario. Ces studios de création ou cette résidence d’artistes, endroit idéal pour les arts visuels, sont situés au centre du Canada, à mi-chemin entre l’Atlantique et le Pacifique, là où les étoiles deviennent les topazes de la nuit.
Ce qu’on offre
D’abord l’espace et, l’espace de travail déterminés selon les besoins de l’artiste. Les espaces polyvalents permettent d’y faire de la peinture, de la sculpture, de l’installation, etc. L’atelier de menuiserie, le Bar à clou, est équipé des outils de base. Un magasin d’objets trouvés est disponible autant pour l’inspiration que pour l’utilisation dans une œuvre. Le peintre apporte ses pinceaux, le musicien son instrument et l’écrivain son ordi.
Les personnes qui séjournent aux Ateliers Topaz jouissent de l’accès à la cuisine et sont responsables de préparer leurs repas. Toutefois Laurent peut aussi leur cuisiner de petits plats typiquement canadiens-français aux besoins ou aux désirs. Topaz possède deux suites avec lit double et une chambre avec lit simple. Chacune possède sa salle de toilette avec douche. Ces installations évoquent admirablement le style des années 1960. Pour la baignade, le Lac des Cœurs se situe à deux kilomètres à l’est. Pour le canotage ou la pèche, la rivière Opasatika est deux kilomètres à l’ouest. Pour se déplacer, il y a de vieux vélos ou la marche. Pour un frais très raisonnable, votre hôte peut aussi vous conduire ou organiser un déplacement vers Kapuskasing à l’est ou vers Hearst à l’ouest. Les matériaux d’artistes ne sont pas disponibles dans la région. Il est donc important de faire vos achats avant votre séjour, à moins que vous travailliez avec des matériaux que l’on peut se procurer dans des magasins ordinaires ou même en nature.

La Ville d’Ottawa lance un appel de candidatures aux artistes qui souhaiteraient concevoir, fabriquer et installer une œuvre d’art permanente pour l’immeuble d’OC Transpo situé au 925, chemin Belfast. Long Term Temporary Exhibition at Terminal 3
Deadline: Friday March 20, 2015 at 5:00 pm
Canadian professional photographers are invited to submit work for consideration for a long-term temporary exhibition at Toronto Pearson International Airport. As part of the airport’s Terminal 3 revitalization project, we will install several series of photographs alongside moving sidewalks in a corridor that connects two sections of the terminal. The photographs will be printed in large scale, on vinyl. Up to three artists will be selected. Works will be on display for approximately one year. Toronto Pearson covers all production costs and each artist will be paid an exhibition fee of $2500.
